When you make a Beracha(a blessing) with proper Kavanna (intention, direction) you have paused, no longer an automaton, considering the miracle, acknowledging the Boss, reconnecting to purpose ,expressing gratitude...uplifting the world with the influx of blessing ,leaving an older pre-blessing version of you behind..moving foward..new and rejuvenated until your next Beracha
A Beracha is never just words but can always be a life changing experience.

Elul Awareness # 34
When it finally came to me that I am nothing I gained the clarity to see that I am one with everything..the everything and more that is Hashem...
As long as I recognize that I am a piece of the Master my unique life will always be a Masterpiece

Nothing like taking someone to the emergency room ,seeing what goes on to realize that we are nothing, there is only Hashem...a pity that so many of us wait for an emergency room to realize this......EIN OD MILVADO
Elul Awareness # 31
How many of us are (conscious or subconsciously) addicted to doing nothing,to wasting time, to distraction.?
Yom Kippur is the Ultimate day when we should realize that our lives have value, no matter who we are or where we are.
In fact every single thing we do or say has value, nothing is missed, that is how important each and every one of us is.
Maybe between now and next Yom Kippur (G-d Willing) we should endeavor to show in a positive, grateful empowering context how we truly value our lives.

Elul Awareness #30
When you peel away the excuses you find the change you need as when the excuses no longer captivate you , you find yourself doing and decisive continued ,determined resilient action is a precursor to change.
Then maybe the sincerity you professed to on Yom Kippur will manifest itself in your life throughout the year and bring you the blessing and upgrade you seek.

Elul Awareness # 29
Why do we say to people "Forgive me if I have offended you?"
Let's be honest in many cases we KNOW we have offended people so in many cases if we honestly want forgiveness we should maybe ask
"I know or I feel that I have offended you,I truly regret it ,please forgive me."

Sometimes the tiny annoying stones that come our way are heralds of bigger rocks to come if we remain on our current path.
Embrace the small stones , understand their meaning heed their warning and do what you must for they are the gifts they may well help you find the sunshine instead being surprised by the storm

Why does the first of the 10 commandments start by saying " I am the Lord your G-d..." instead of maybe " I am G-d etc....
I am certain there are many reasons , one which I think of is that G-d keeps it personal so that we know how much we are loved , that we are never ever alone and that G-d wants a real relationship with us,not only selected words at selected times of the day, which are critical as well.

One great way to start your real relationship with G-d, to keep it real by learning to be in constant conversation with G-d , in every situation, every mood etc..G-d can take it....your life will change.
Elul Awareness #26
Yom Kippur among others shows
that up to the last second it is never to late, in others words you are never so hooked up to your past that you cannot let it go ( no matter how much you believe you are) and open your heart to a new future.
G-d knows it , gifts you with the possibility of a new future, Teshuva clears the way...choose to let go so that forward and upward you can go.

Elul Awareness #24
We are told that Teshuva, Tefila and Tzedaka tempers the harshness of the decree..but why?
There is much on this life changing topic
One point is that in all three mitzvot our whole being is or should be involved and when we are all in, pour all we have in,then true meaningful change starts and we are no longer the same people and the decree is no longer for that other person as we have someone new on the block
Elul Awareness #22
We are told that sins that are between a person and his fellow man like gossip, slander, biting criticism, humiliation etc are not atoned for on Yom Kippur until you request forgiveness from those you hurt.
There are many commentaries, many, many lesson to be learnt from this important point
I would like to add a personal hugely ,for me, positive perspective on this
G-d does not need another person to forgive us in order for us to be forgiven...obviously ....
What this shows, to me,is just how valued we are, each and every one of us.
The importance G-d gives our personal feelings , how sensitive G-d is , how loving G-d is, that G-d is in essence holding "Himself" back for us....WOW... what empowering validation

We should do the same for others, be full of understanding forgiveness and take what comes when we ask for forgiveness.
When you learn to forgive you open yourself up for the forgiveness you seek...
